Making your way through masses of fierce and determined folk is like trying to get to the other side of a Lord of the Rings style Battle field full of orks and trolls. I mean who on earth would want to do that? Okay I’m guessing you do… So if you are considering going to the January sales, but need some plans of action first then you’re in the right place.

UnknownFirstly depending where you are you’ll need to wrap up warm – if you’re from a country with the same climate as the not so sunny Scotland then I recommend wearing something like this coatgorgeous, winter coat. (You can get it from Topshop.) I would pair it with black or blue skinnies or you could even wear a winter dress and leggings with it. But if you go with the jeans option then I advise you to wear it with these colour matching ugg boots. (You can order the uggs in the left picture from this website http://www.bootsbig.com/ugg-roslynn-winter-boot-chestnut-p-69.html.)

Okay, now that’s sorted you’ll have to plan out what shops you’re going to visit. Tip Number One: “Don’t buy something just because it’s in a sale – buy something because you need it and want it and have needed and wanted it before it got reduced.” In other words don’t just go into a shop because there’s a big ‘SALE’ sign on the window, go into the shop because there are products you need and you know that they sell them and if you’re lucky they products might just be in the reductions section. If the products that you want and need are not reduced in that shop don’t feel defeated, think about Tip Number Two: “Shop around – another shop might be selling it for a cheaper price.”

However you need to not oversight the fact that you’re paying for transportation to the shops – whether that be paying for petrol, train, bus ticket or taxi fare, so before you head in to the shop do yourself a favour – check online before rushing out – the companies online shop might be selling even more and it might just have that item you’ve been wanting.

Before you go if you’re still feeling uninspired to rush to the January sales – here’s a video, which might just change your mind…
